That's a very good point. All my computers and network equipment are
isolated from direct contact from Power/Phone/Cable via UPS or surge
protectors. My routers and switches are on UPS (as well as my desktop
computer). With this setup I rarely if every have had any issues with
equipment needing restarts (actually I don't even recall the last time),
even in lighting storms (also amusing when I loose all power in the
house yet continue to surf away on the net with our laptops and the
working network :-)
