[TriLUG] can anyone help? - mail problem

Ah, yes. The box is behind the Lucent firewall but is addressed as vtcdev.gc.lucent.com. When mail comes into hte lucent network is is processed by some huge machine and it maps users (like myself, gwbrown1) to the actualy machine it's on, in this case vtcdev.gc.lucent.com.

So I don't think it's a NAT issue.. but the mail that should be forwarded from the big mail processor just doesn't seme to make it into poor old vtcdev.gc.lucent.com.

Any ideas?

Based on the wisps of info here, my first guess would be
incorrectly-configured NAT.. What's your network look like? Is the server
in question a perimeter machine, with a world-visible interface, or is it
behind other equipment (i.e. firewall appliance, etc).

Can't figure out why.
