Agreed.  Its hard though, I use my best box for audio since most audio
apps will take all the machine you can give them.  I dual boot my "main"
box and just "service network start/stop" to get updates, apt-get
install, etc...

I think so.  Ardour has been very impressive, still a little rough
around the edges, but I think it will soon become a little competition
for the commercial "big boys" out there...
