pool.ntp.org is VERY good.  It's a randomized pool of public NTP
servers.  The us.poo.ntp.org servers are all in the U.S.  Put

0.us.pool.ntp.org
1.us.pool.ntp.org
etc.

in your ntp.conf file to access them and you'll get various NTP servers
in the U.S.
