[TriLUG] Mandrake frustrations

I've seen erratic mouse behavior after KVM switching quite often. KVM
switch manuals that I've seen suggest making sure there is no movement of
the mouse for about 5 seconds after switching.. I don't know how valid that
is; seems to me to depend as much on the phase of the moon as anything
else.. Anyhow, does unplugging and re-plugging the mouse from the KVM
switch fix the behavior? It usually does for me, and might be a little less
hassle than rebooting, if the suggestion below doesn't end up helping.
