Who "recommends" the nvidia driver?

I have tried both on my laptop, and the only two differences I
have noticed:
(1) the proprietary "nvidia" driver sometimes locks up
(2) the open source "nv" driver does not support dual-head

If the "nv" driver works for you (especially if it gets along well
with your mga driver), then stick with it.
