I'm not sure about flying in from LA, but there is a special terminal
at the Vegas airport that flies employees to and from Groom Lake.
Instead of the standard N##### call sign that ALL airplanes use (except
for Air Force 1, and only when it is carrying the President) the
flights out of Vegas us JANUS. Why? Nobody knows. Well, nobody I
know knows.

If you are afraid of flying you can also take a bus, though I would
think that would be a rather long trip.

As for what they grow out west I recall cotton, soy beans, pecans, and
peppers. I'm sure that new technology allows for the growth of all
kinds of fruits and veggies. If you have a few thousand acres out West
and you don't want to ranch I suppose the theory is grow something.
