[TriLUG] Problems with SuSE 9.3 on IBM Laptop

IBM ThinkPad 600x.

I have tried 3Com 10/100 IBM 10/100 Etherjet and D-Link DFE-690TXD all with
the same results. I guess SuSE doesn't like IBM Laptops? I've see similar
problems with everything since 9.0.

What kind of ibm laptop is this. typically ibm tends to use intel or
broadcom cards.
