[TriLUG] Slightly OT:Vonage vs. TWC Phone Service

Bringing the topic back to Linux.  For Vonage there exists an addon
feature called SoftPhone that allows you to make calls from you
laptop.  Is there anyway (preferable on Linux) to route calls remotely
from a laptop back to your home and use the existing TA that
TWC/Vonage/AT&T provides to put the calls on the POTS system?  This
would allow you to remotely use your home phone to make calls to
people with regular phones.
