It was mentioned on the TriLUG IRC channel that there might be some folk
interested in the upcomming Charlotte Linux Users Group meeting.
Directions and whatnot are on the website: http://www.charlug.org
Nearly everywhere you turn, FOSS projects are ditching their old version
control systems and embracing Subversion, the open source version
control software designed with CVS in its crosshairs. What's convinced
the ASF, KDE, GCC, Python, Mono, and countless others to swap out one of
the most fundamental aspects of their development processes?
C. Michael Pilato, a core developer of Subversion and co-author of
O'Reilly's _Version Control with Subversion_ will present on Subversion
-- what it is, why it exists, how it compares to other version control
systems, and where the project is going.
Come on out to our meeting this Saturday morning December 10, 2005 at 11
am. As always meetings are free!
