[TriLUG] Software RAID question

I have a blade server running software raid (mirror).  One of the drives has been acting eratically and I'd like to replace it.
My question is: after i got the new drive in, should I create the partitions just like the one currently in the raid and use the command 'raidhotadd' to add individual mount points? Or is there an easier way to do this? Any suggestion is appreciated.
