I'm well aware of the different products out there that enable users
to break the ToS, my company (Cisco) even makes one.  Even though
these devices can enable several users to use a single connection,
note that you don't *have* to use it that way.  You can easily justify
the devices by using it to connect to a "card" from a machine that
doesn't have a PCMCIA/Expresscard slot, like my MacBook.

Either way, it was more of a public service announcement type of
thing.  Verizon seems to be the pickiest provider about enforcing
their ToS:
