[TriLUG] really slow web. help!

Do you know if the cable router and 100mb router are both switches?  
What happens if you eliminate the hub?

Windows and Mac OS X are way more forgiving of this for some reason than 
Linux seems to be.  Often times many hubbed monstrosities will work but 
during traffic periods things get hit and miss.  I had OS X work on the 
same machine where Linux would not in a too-many-hub situation...
