[TriLUG] Triangle Open Source Lab meeting 5/24 from 7 PM until 9 PM - RSVP

I think the Installfests, taken as their name suggests, are outdated.  I
don't hear many calls for help installing Linux any more.  And that was
exactly the excuse I got the last time I asked about an Installfest.

I think Mr. Ray's endeavor here should be something of a wake-up call for
the new steering committee.  Are we meeting the needs of our members in the
best way possible?  What I'm hearing from Shawn in this thread is: 1) less
technical info, more solutions oriented info, and 2) slower pace.

May be we should restake the Installfest as a "Solutionfest".  Focus on the
endpoints.  Do people need a LAMP solution, or an VoIP solution, or a
groupware solution.  Installing Linux today is fairly easy, getting
OpenXchange server up and running with a cadre of MS Outlook clients --
that's tough.
