As a frequent rider of CAT buses, I couldn't agree more that our public
transportation system is lacking.  I live in southwest Raleigh and my
local route only comes by once per hour.  I can see why most people
wouldn't want to ride it because it's far too inconvenient to plan your
day on a bus that comes around so infrequently.  For me it's a matter of
saving some cash by not using my car (and thus saving on gas and NCSU
parking sticker costs!), as well as an added bonus of producing a little
bit less gases for the earth I live in.  Oftentimes I can get to NCSU
faster by biking (about 5 miles, so not bad) than on waiting for the bus
to come around!

P.S.  To keep this slighting On Topic, I also frequently use my Linux
system from home to telecommute and perform my research duties remotely!
