hey Wayne --

I too have been a DreamHost customer for the past 3 years or so, but  
I have not had many problems with their service.  I am curious as to  
what issues you may be experiencing, if you are so inclined to  
discuss.  Very occasionally I will lose contact with a mail server  
and once in a while my website goes down, but it has not caused me  
much harm.  Perhaps you are running a business from your site?

Regardless, one of my favorite hosting companies is Hurricane  
Electric.  A bit more expensive, but rock solid networking and  
hosting.  Check them out at <http://www.he.net/>  They should be able  
to provide the items you've listed below.

Hi all, I know this question has been posed at least once before on  
trilug but I tried to search around for the mailing list archives and  
couldn't find it :(

What web hosting company can you recommend? I have been using  
dreamhost for 2 years and their service has been poor. I wish to  
switch my domains to a different company.

My requirements are that they must support ftp, http, and PHP/MySQL  
based stuff like wordpress & gallery. Multiple ftp accounts would be  
nice, where some users might be able to read-only, but a super-user  
could upload.
