[TriLUG] Time-Warner Cable

Something wonky did happen with TWC in Durham yesterday around 10:00 am or
so. My SSH connection from work died and I couldn't ping home for 15
minutes or so. It came back, dropped again, and came back once more, and
hasn't had any problems (that I've noticed) again since. IP didn't change
or anything. Just a flake-out for a while. My UPS didn't show any power
faults, so I'm guessing a router somewhere got sick.

+1 opendns.
I use TWC in Durham... Haven't had any DNS issues recently using
Opendns (ditchet TW DNS just after install). Have had some strange
issues w/ my wireless APs.... but I think that's just signal
congestion in my neighborhood, and my dd-wrt router getting confused.
It's been working fine since I switched to a less crowded channel
yesterday. I'm not 100% sure it wasn't just TWC being wonky, but my TW
Phone never went out.... so I don't think it was.
