[TriLUG] OpenWRT Needs to Reboot?

I have recently spent a considerable bit of time on the linksys forums 
(futilely trying to get a vpn tunnel
to connect on a RV042 router). I came across a bunch of folks that were 
having problems similar to
yours where the router would operate and then "lock up" for seemingly no 
reason at all. The resolution
of this issue turned out to be the wall wart (that block of potted 
transformer that plugs into the wall). The
cause behind this issue turned out to be unstable supply voltage. As an 
experiment use a good quality
power supply (say astron or pyramid) for a time to see if the same 
problem continues. These wall warts
are cheaply made and often only output the bare minimum requirements 
need to operate the equipment.
