[TriLUG] adding Linux/samba fileserver to an existing windoze network

Is Samba still the best way to go for Windows users to connect to a Linux server
from which to share data? How difficult is it going to be to add a linux file
server using Samba to our LAN? For example, am I going to have to configure
TCP/IP on each PC on our LAN to talk to Samba? Anything else I should be aware
of in doing this?
