[TriLUG] New Vista laptop needs Linux

There were two switches I had to use with a couple of laptops (don't 
remember the make/model.)  One was the ACPI (or APCI) and there was another 
one that was similar in the list provided in the boot screen.  Both had to 
be included or the boot from CD would hang.  Wish my memory was better so I 
could provide more details.

I have had no problems with Ubuntu/Kbuntu install on laptops after starting 
with those switches.
