[TriLUG] Anyone using 802.1x authentication for wired networks?

I suppose this is slightly off-topic wrt linux, but I wondered how many
medium-large organizations are using 802.1x (or anything else) for NAC to
their building or campus wired LAN.

Anyone?

And are you doing it with machine certificates or user authentication? other
methods? (smart cards, perhaps--biometrics?)

Thanks,
Heath

PS: Anyone know of a triangle-area group like TriLUG but more
network-oriented?
