I've got about 6 from ebay that have worked out OK. You have 
to know exactly what you want (eg with CD, or with DVD). 
Problems to watch out for are

o many laptops have the drive (and caddy) pulled. Presumably 
this is so no corporate secrets escape. Unless you can find 
a caddy and mouting hardware, you're sunk. Make sure it says 
"working" or something explicit like that.

o make sure the specs are given, eg MHz, MBytes as these are 
variable for any line of a laptop
