Announcing a new Meetup for Triangle Drupal Meetup Group!

What: Why Use Drupal? - Presentation and Panel Q&A

When: September 2, 2009 7:00 PM

Where:
The Research Triangle Park Headquarters
12 Davis Drive
RTP, NC 27706

Looking for a web publishing platform or content management system?
Drowning in a sea of confusing opinions about the many different
open-source and fee-based CMS programs across the Internet?

_Are you considering Drupal?_

*Julia Kulla-Mader* will be presenting about the key factors to consider
when deciding whether or not to develop your website in Drupal. Drupal
is an amazing platform but might not be the right solution for every web
development project.

We'll explore some scenarios where Drupal is an ideal solution and
others where it might be a less than perfect fit.

Key questions include:

* What are some of the advantages of using Drupal?
* When should you consider an established alternative?
* When should you consider custom development? What are the risks of
cobbling together a solution without Drupal or an established alternative?

At the end of the session, participants will have a metric to use to
evaluate the Drupal-friendliness of web development projects.

_*Expert Panel Q&A*_

Following Julia's presentation, she will be joined by fellow triDUG
Drupal experts Allen Freeman, Ken Winters and Sheena Donnelly. Any
question you may have regarding Drupal, ranging from Server
Administration to User Interface and Design, can be answered!

There are directions, map, and a PDF with RTP Headquarters info and
