The company I work for, Oasys Mobile, Inc (http://
www.oasysmobile.com/) is seeking a systems administrator. Oasys
Mobile, Inc specializes in mobile phone applications and games
development. I thought the people here might be interested.
Skills:
Primary qualifications include high degree of comfort and experience
working with Open Source technologies, including Linux, Apache, PHP,
MySQL, Samba and Subversion.
Must also have in depth knowledge and experience with system
administration tasks, including OS installation, software
configuration, performance tuning, system and network troubleshooting.
Must have strong TCP/IP networking skills.
Candidate will also need to be familiar with Microsoft Windows 2003
Server, Active Directory and Exchange, and comfortable with desktop
end user support, including Windows XP and Macintosh OS X. Familiarity
with Microsoft IIS a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment under tight
resource and schedule restrictions preferred.
Duties:
- Managing the relationship and contracts with all technology
infrastructure service providers, including telco, internet, and co-
location facilities.
- Maintaining multiple B2B and B2C production environments, some
carrier grade in a co-location facility.
- Maintaining the office and development network and systems.
- Maintaining backups of all internal and production systems.
- Applying operating system updates, and requested configuration
changes.
- Installing and configuring new hardware/software.
- Adding/deleting/creating/modifying user account information,
resetting passwords, etc.
- Answering technical queries.
- Responsibility for security.
- Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
- Troubleshooting any reported problems.
- System performance tuning.
- Database administration
- On call 24/7 to respond to problems from individuals and monitoring
systems
- Phone Administration
