It looks like the version in the latest Debian ( Lenny ), is 2.22.2, so it may be possible that I have just recorded another instance of that bug.
However, that LONG conversation is regarding Metacity, so one possible solution would be to change WMs.
I noticed two things.
The last items in that were almost a year old ( December of last year ), and Item 114 seems to be what Alan was suggesting. Is that what your opener does, create a new instance of Firefox in the current workspace? If so, that is just the behaviour that I am wanting to conquer.
