[TriLUG] FYI for those with network home dirs using desktop applications

Sometimes it amazes me the stuff I don't know.

Today's discovery is $XDG_CACHE_HOME. If your home directory is on a
network server, setting this to a local directory will improve your
life! Many applications, including google-chrome, will then store cache
files in the specified location rather than $HOME/.cache
