I don't know if Remastersys will be able to help you 100%. However, I
have used this tool to create a live DVD of my current Ubuntu systems,
and re-install the system as well. It will not, however, carry over
any proprietary drivers; you'll have to hack that yourself. There are
plenty of Remastersys tutorials to be found online. I did not provide
links to them because they are numerous, and each one may have
something you need.

I do know that Remastersys will allow you to install and format as you
like. This is how I tested EXT4 to make sure everything worked.
