Job Description:







 


We are seeking a motivated Systems Administrator to provide technical sysadmin support for CDO-EIS/LASER  
VM Cloud solutions.


 


The candidate will be involved in day to day support of Virtual Cloud computing services: VMware, Linux, Storage solutions
, Windows, Solaris, along with basic networking needs. The candidate will also be involved in contingency planning, task scheduling, application upgrades and communications. Participation in these activities involves both the immediate team as well as broader global, cross-functional client groups.

Minimum Skill Requirement:
Typically requires 5 years of related experience.


Experience with Cisco equipment and Virtual computing environments  
(VMware, Storage 
(NetApp, EMC) needed. CCNA Recommended. Hands-on experience supporting VMware computing environment
In depth knowledge of VMware based virtual computing. Ability to install, configure, and support VM cloud installations. Virtual Computing VCP-4
 (vmware certified professional) with experience with VM deployments using Cisco UCS products is a plus.


Good Window and Linux skills (Red Hat Certifications a plus)

Intermediate level knowledge of Linux systems.
 Familiar with kickstart and support of Linux based operating systems. Red Hat certifications a plus.

General support level knowledge of Windows OS.

General scripting knowledge 

Desired Skill Set:
Self-starter with minimum of 5 years experience
Hands on experience with VMware virtual systems
Hands on experience with SAN configuration and troubleshooting (NetApp/EMC)
Hands on experience with Fabric networking and troubleshooting (Cisco/Brocade)

Good organizational and time management skill 
Excellent problem solving skills a must
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Good customer service skills
Good research skills
Dedication. Willing to work some alternate
work schedules as needed.

General network and Cisco IOS knowledge.
Extensive knowledge of IPv4 subnetting 
Basic knowledge of the routing protocols: 
BGP, MPLS, GLBP
Ability to setup, reconfigure, and test physical network topologies
Ability to diagnose and repair network problems
