[TriLUG] IPv6 workshop

As some of you may have noticed, I started a thread yesterday where I was told, basically, that I should persuade Panera ( or Caribou Coffee, or insert your flavour of choice ) that they should provide IPv6 service to their WiFi customers.

Another alternative proposed was for me to set up an IPv6 tunnel back to my "home network," and then explore the world from there. That one, of course, has a better chance of happening within the next couple of years.

You may also have noticed that Kevin Otte and I made a start at a conversation regarding a short workshop allowing people to get familiar with configuring IPv6 on their personal laptops and then, their whole LAN.

We discussed this last night, and wonder whether there is any interest in a group of us getting together somewhere in the Triangle, probably for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. This would be intended not to take up too much of your Saturday, but to get you started and comfortable with the concepts in a hands-on environment.

Any hands?

Thanks,
Brian
