I have a brand new Dell XPS 15, a pretty beefy laptop with a quad-core
i7 and nVidia GeForce GT 435M graphics.

I get 70 minutes of battery time... 70 minutes!

I suppose I can't have it both ways... but I thought that some of that
power-hungry stuff could be shut down when it was not being used. 
Instead, when it's just sitting on the desk, it's kicking out a blast of
warm air out the side vents (which will be nice in the winter).
