Years ago the Motorola shop over in Durham programmed a radio for me. The tech guy gave me a hard time about having a license for the frequencies I wanted programmed into the radio (all amateur radio frequencies) but the show manager seemed to recognize the FCC Amateur Radio license I brought with me and told him to go ahead and do it. I think it cost me less than $20.
