Note filing a tax return with Self-Employment income (Schedule C) allows 
deductions for all medical premiums paid: you, your spouse, all 
dependents and includes Long Term Care premiums.  This is a 
dollar-for-dollar reduction in tax unlike the 7.5 % threshold of Schedule A.

Also know affinity groups like AARP (50+) market medical plans through 
UnitedHealth Care that are totally unlike any UHC offered plans.  The 
affinity group brands the plan, handles marketing and controls plan 
coverage.
