Is is okay to do science because it is what one is passionate about?
Surely the wages are at leas livable (I have no idea about this funding
kids thing).

I have no idea how to think about IT; immigration or lack there of
isn't the only thing going on (imagine how different it would be if
Larry Ellison and Tim Cook didn’t hoard everything). Also, is it easier
in IT compared to other fields for completely foreign operations to
compete in American markets?
