Are you behind a NATting router and using uPNP or port forwarding to get
the torrent traffic through?  If you are using uPNP, I've had problems
with linksys routers forgetting the uPNP port forward settings with
uTorrent.  Everything would be good, then my connectivity would crap
out, just like you are describing.  I fixed it by manually entering the
port forwards needed to allow inbound connections to my torrent program.
