I have Virtual Private Servers from two companies:
 - one Xen-based from Linode
 - one Xen and one Virtuozzo from TekTonic

Linode really has their act together.  All of their tools are top-notch
and easy to use: dashboard, console access, DNS.  I pay $20/mo for their
smallest VM.

TekTonic is cheaper ($15), but their infrastructure is confusing.  I
have several username/password pairs with them: one for forums, one for
a Xen dashboard, one for Virtuozzo, one for console access, one for
billing, a control panel I don't use, etc.  I have to take more
meticulous notes to keep their service straight.  I get five emails per
billing cycle for each one (and they bill on different days of the
month).  I just feel like their offerings were all just cobbled together
with whatever tools they had at the time.

Both services offer about the same in terms of disk space (24-30GB),
transfer (2000GB/mo) and RAM (1GB) for close to the same price ($15-$20/mo).
