[TriLUG] is anyone using MythTV as a DVR?

I've been using MythTV continuously for about 8 years. It can be a
pain to setup, but the rewards are worth it. My wife now complains
about having to watch commercials at other peoples places :-)

My system is a desktop PC with ultra quiet Scythe fans, running both
the frontend and backend. The LIRC facilities allow us to use a single
IR remote control to control everything. I recently replaced the IR
blasters with a serial link to turn the TV on and off.
