Matt,
I have the Samsung Ultrabook and it was the easiest Linux Mint install I
ever did. It is a pound lighter than a macbook air. It has an i7 processor
and ssd which is great. I have only used it a few times at tech
conferences. Probably 20 hours of use. Most of my computer time is spent on
a desktop with dual displays.

I am actually looking to sell it and a few other items to offset the cost
of a set of camping gear for the family and a jon boat.

Before you make a purchase, get in touch with me. I could bring it to a
Trilug meeting and let you check it out.
