[TriLUG] FCC may step in to pre-empt TWC like legislation

It all depends on what you consider is an essential service or
utility. Would it be fair if USPS charged some companies different
rates to deliver their packages - oh wait, they do :-) Netflix DVD's.
Should we de-regulate our water supply so I can choose which filtering
plant to buy my water from ?

I use my internet connection for VOIP telephone services and yet it is
not classified as a Title II Telecommunications service. Huh ? And yet
FAX lines are under Title II ? Huh ?

The particular legislation that TWC bought (I think they even admitted
to writing it) is HB 129: "Level Playing Field/Local Gov't
Competition."
