my lesson from my experiences with paypal was to never pay through paypal again. 
You give up the benefits of having your credit card company behind you. In the 
time since I've stopped paying through paypal, about 5yrs, it hasn't impacted my 
purchasing. I just buy through companies that have real webpages and who take 
credit cards.
