and to bring this back around to technology....

one of my brothers worked for a car manufacturer in Alabama in the 2000's 
as a systems administrator.  apparently one of his co-workers approached 
the boss one day with, "I have good news and bad news.  The good news is 
that 'drop table foo cascade all' works in Oracle.  the bad news is it 
works in production."
