Description of Work
Lead both front-end & back-end Drupal development, including custom
modules, for State agency websites that enable both State employee and
citizen interactions, manage the Drupal technical architecture & platform
and provide day-to-day technical support for web/mobile technologies.
Develop system design specifications, writing program code, testing
programs & systems, performing system implementation activities and
instructing and training of other team members in Drupal. Architect
large-scale, multi-site installations of Drupal sites in a Linux, Apache,
MySQL, PHP (LAMP) environment. Help assemble and supervise a team of
developers to support the Drupal platform. Develop the business user
interface and workflow in Drupal, with an emphasis on ease of use for
nontechnical user. Manage a search engine platform, such as Elasticsearch
or Solr, or other open source search tools. Participate and advise
cross-agency workgroups for implementation of the web templates and
standards across the enterprise. Develop robust business user workflow
processes. Tune backend for high performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/Competencies
Prefer four years of demonstrated experience of full stack web development.
Prefer two years of demonstrated, hands-on Drupal 7 module development
experience in a professional environment. Proven ability to architect and
develop scalable, custom Drupal 7 implementations. Experience working on
high traffic, enterprise-class websites, including ensuring high
availability, performance optimization and designing caching strategies.
Knowledge of programming techniques, programming languages, operating
systems and the capabilities/limitations of computer systems including the
following: PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, Java, JavaScript/jQuery, LAMP
environments. Strong understanding of MySQL database setup and tuning.
Demonstrated experience in contributing to Drupal or Drupal community
modules. Experience building responsive, progressive enhancement, mobile
first websites. Experience with views, panels, mini panels, panelizers.
Experience with Features and Drush, and using both in deployment workflows.
Ability to create custom feed importers, data migration experience.
Experience with Git / source control.
