[TriLUG] OT: local source for logic ICs?

I don't think "hobby electronics has died" is true at all.. if anything,
hobby electronics, as associated with other parts of the "make movement"
seems to be burgeoning. That said, there is definitely still a shortage of
local, retail places to buy parts and stuff. That bit may never come back,
as online ordering is hammering retail pretty much across the board.

Anyway, I'd suggest posting to the splatspace list and see if somebody has
a 74HC04 they will (give|sell|trade|whatever) with ya. It's possible I
might have one in my box of parts there, but I wouldn't be able to go and
check until after work tonight. But if you want me to, and you don't find
one first, I'll happily go look. I do keep quite a few 74xx chips around
for playing around with.
