I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on these two services. I got an
extra 100 gbs free for 2 years when I bought my chromebook on drive but to
this day there is not an official sync application for google drive on
linux. Meanwhile the dropbox client works very well. Up until recently
there was a price difference but as of right now their 1 TB plans are both
at around $10 a month.
I will probably continue to use both but I was wondering if you were to put
money towards a TB of drive storage to use across IOS devices, Android
devices, Linux computers, and the occasional WIndows machine then what
would you prefer and why.
What I will be storing there, if it matters to the discussion:
1. quick sync folders for pictures taken with mobile devices
2. archive family pictures and video
3. audio files for which I own solely or with a group of others the
copyright
4. video files which again I hold the copyright for.
5. Encrypted compressed archives of tax and fiscal records
I will no matter the mass storage service probably continue to use google
drive/docs for collaborative document editing.
