I have attended this event for many years. I would highly recommend those
of you who would like to spend a bit of time in sunny Pasadena to consider
attending. The demos and trade show are worth the price of admission. Hope
to see you there.

It's that time again. Registration is now open for SCaLE 16x! The 16th
annual Southern California Linux Expo will take place on March 8-11, 2018,
at the Pasadena Convention Center. SCaLE draws OSS community members from
around the world for a weekend of learning, sharing, networking and fun.
We have negotiated special SCaLE rates at local hotels.

For details or to register, go here:

Less than two weeks left to submit your abstract or proposal for 16x
sessions. Call For Papers deadline is October 31. Don't miss this
opportunity to reach a one-of-a-kind audience with your message. Our CFP
page offers topic suggestions and walks you through the submission process.

SCaLE is the largest community-run open-source and free software conference
in North America. It is held annually in the greater Los Angeles area.

There are those who seek opportunities and discover limitations. And there
are those who find opportunities and challenge their own limitations."

"My children are footprints that prove I existed"

"My life is based on a true story. The characters, incidents, and
dialogues are products of my imagination and are not to be construed as
real. Any resemblance to actual events or persons, living or dead, is
entirely accidental."

"What I now know is that I never knew that I knew what I know"
