[TriLUG] Strange lockups on Fedora

For the last few days my Fedora 26 desktop has been locking up once every
few hours. When it locks up:

- Mouse and keyboard are unresponsive
- Ctrl+Alt+# terminals don't open - screen stays stuck on frozen GUI
- Num/caps/scroll lock LEDs on keyboard are stuck
- Can still SSH in, and shell works
- After killing Xorg over SSH, monitor still has the same frozen image

Not sure where to go from here, how do I diagnose this?
