Thanks for all the insight.  I was unable to make user:7001 at cyclades-host
work for my ssh sessions, however, I did find a suitable work around.

I set my newly, non-web UI user's shell to ts_menu.  In this way, I was
able to ssh user at cyclades-host and simply choose a ttyS(x) port.  This
allowed me to forego telnet user at cyclades-host 700x (which did work).

A satisfactory solution, especially considering it is merely for home lab
use.
