[TriLUG] Lenovo and LINUX

I've had Linux on the Lenovo W701 since it came out in 2010.
Never had a problem except for lack of support for the fingerprint reader.
Still my daily workhorse.
I wonder if they'll extend support backwards to legacy equipment like mine?
