[TriLUG] Switch/Business Recommendations?

What size switch are you looking for? Are you looking for an edge switch
with <48 ports? A backbone switch with tons of bandwidth and expandability?

If the latter is the case, the Cisco 6509 absolutely rips but you expand it
with blades. You get a router blade with CSU/DSU, you get 100Base-T blades,
1000Base-FX blades, ATM blades, etc.

Of course it's just as good to get a Cisco 2600 series router with the
CSU/DSU built in. The T1 is your bottleneck, not the switch.
