I hear you!  I'm fairly impatient myself and was not at all happy
about having to let them contact me.  What happened, though, was
they e-mailed me the name/e-mail/phone # of my point of contact
and then let me contact him at my leisure.  So, it turned out not
as bad as it could have.

I'm not sure how it would go if you also have cable for TV.  I use
DirecTV so I avoided that.  In addition, btw, I believe their rates
are different depending on where you are (i.e. Durham, Raleigh, etc..,
and perhaps even within cities...).
