[TriLUG] kmail cannot send mail

I have a different sequence - like Jon described in his post.  I am using 
KMail 1.3.1 in KDE 2.2.1.  I'll bet yours is newer.  What't the best way to 
upgrade, upgrade  KDE only or moving up to Mandrake 8.2 from 8.1?
